Prodec Steel - Offshore Stainless & Alloys.jpg

Stainless Steel grades engineered for improved machinability,

extended tool life, and consitent component quality

Our PRODEC range consists of 316 and 304 stainless steel grades engineered for consistently high machinability, allowing higher machining speeds, extended tool life, and improved surface quality.

Unlike conventional free-machining grades, Prodec products retain corrosion resistance comparable to standard stainless steel grades.

ENGINEERED FOR HIGH-DEMAND MACHINING APPLICATIONS

PRODEC is developed to support high machining productivity, complex part geometries, and tight tolerance requirements where consistent material performance is critical throughout production. It is suitable for both small precision components and larger engineered parts, delivering stable machinability across a wide range of applications.

Typical applications include:

• Fasteners
• Flanges and valves
• Pressure fittings
• Machined components for process equipment

• Nuts, bolts, and screws
• Gears
• Shafts

PRODEC is manufactured in Great Britain, supporting UK manufacturing through a fully integrated domestic supply chain that ensures consistent quality, reliability, and supply continuity for local industry.

Tests demonstrate significant improvements in cutting speed and tool life compared to market competitors, translating directly into higher productivity and lower machining costs.

Testing was conducted in November 202x on PRODEC alongside six competing European stainless steel bar products.
A CNMG cemented carbide insert was used for all machining trials.

Asian materials were excluded from the comparison due to consistently lower performance and were not considered directly comparable.
